While we dust ourselves off from the BBC article I wanted to reach out to all the private candidates out there. The A Level debacle is a mess from Ofqual refusing to accept that exams are in their nature social distancing.
They have wriggled and moved to avoid sitting exams. When this is the easiest thing to do.
May this never happen again!
We need to completely overhaul access to GCSEs and A Levels. While I would suggest cancelling GCSEs all together for ever. Letting schools sit their own exams at 16.
A levels should have a majority computer based delivery system.
Allowing pupils to sit exams when they are ready not when the school is ready.
