Essentially the savvy your parents are the better the grades the children get.

Exams are all about merit. While Savviness is mostly about connections and pushiness. | We must learn from the pandemic and never cancel exams again.

We must make it far easier to put exams on. Making the chances to take them as frequent and regular as possible. Sitting exams should be as ubiquitous as the school weeks.

The thing is, had exams been put on, often exam candidates do better than predicted. While teacher assessed grades maintained the innate bias that comes with teacher led marking.

Exams do not have a previous teaching relationship the exam candidate. While teachers do. So it is only human and doesn't matter how much the teachers hold the line. They will have both bias and pressure.

Exams are the national level playing field for all pupils. Irrespective of pushy or savvy parents.
