Third Space learning and computer addiction

Third Space learning

Third Space Learning are paying Children to teach UK children through their internet platform. Paying as little as £1.57 an hour. This is the new sweat shop. Both for the pupils for the UK, stuck to their screens listening and watching use of under-18s as tutors who are paid pittance.

The question is why is schools allowing more screen time not less screen time? Surely, pupils are already stuck to their screens. With ample evidence of a large rise of computer game addiction. Why is the Department of Education both outsoucing learning through a computer and using different standards abroad?

Tom Hooper, from TSL quoted the Guaradian who broke this story.

“Our model for tutoring is supported by the NTP and was detailed in our proposal to join the NTP programme,” said Hooper, adding that the average age of his tutors was 24.

The Department for Education said tuition providers must follow all applicable laws and regulations, pay their tutors fairly and make sure high minimum standards of tutor qualifications are in place, warning they would intervene if tuition providers failed to meet required standards.

A spokesperson from the NTP said: “Third Space Learning employ specialist maths tutors who have all completed a full-time three-week training programme, designed in partnership with University College London. All tutors receive ongoing professional development, frequent lesson evaluations and personalised feedback.”
