ACCA exams postponed

ACCA exams postponed

ACCA, the accountancy program and qualification have re started the exams. They have been hit was a massive technical challenge. With uk exam candidates having to wait hours. Or have them cancelled altogether.

UPDATE: The EXAM HOUSE IS NOW AN ACCA EXAM CENTRE.

The AA and AA exams of the ACCA are being described as a car crash.

The exams at the Viglen House, London was cancelled when exam candidates waited many hours to sit the test. One exam candidate explained: “The servers kept crashing and at 5.37pm we were all timed out.”

While in Bristol exam candidates will have to wait hours to start their exams. One exam candidate said

“Did anyone else have technical issues? Our exam (in Bristol, UK) was over three hours late starting. Some of us went from 6.30am to 4pm without any food or water. It was awful.”

Down in Southampton there were more“We were in the exam room from about 8.30am and didn’t leave until 2.45pm!” And, the 9am exam at Glasgow Cardonald College didn’t start until 1pm.

Cardiff was by 40 minutes. More delays in Manchester too, but as one exam candidate said: “Overall the whole thing went really well, felt very safe and organised.” Another PQ explained her exam began at 9.30 rather than 9am, but “it was good”. At Norwich Holiday Inn the AAA exam was delayed by 45 minutes.

If ACCA exams can be postponed so can GCSEs and A levels. Surely the flexibility of ACCA exams should be applied to GCSEs and A levels.

Over all the ACCA AAA exam was considered fair and good. There was a tricky question on leases and a discounted operation for Q2 Time pressure was always tough.
