While Gov. have gone and cancelled all exams for 2021 summer. This is the worst case scenario for pupils who want to do more than gain basic skills at school. While we work hard for centre and teacher assessed grades. .

The drive to learn at a so called safe distance at home using computers brings a whole lot more dangers if forms that are much harder to spot.

While the debate rages about the point of exams in the first place. if we fall heavily on computer based learning as our flexible alternative to school. Why are we not using computer based exams. Starting with the simplest skills based exams including Maths and English at the foundation level.

While there are nuances and more challenges further up the attainment level with computer based exams. It if simple maths and english are skills to allow for projection of ambition and a happy life, similar to a driving license. So too should the opportunity to sit the exams using computers be the most part of the answer. Allowing for regular and frequent opportunity to be examined of these skills.
