The rise of ID services for Exams
The rise of ID services for Exams
Speaking to Jack Bidgood, CEo of Thirdfort, the fast growing ID checking service for Solicitors. We have mentioned previously in an exam blog how ID checks are beginning to change exam taking opportunities. It was a short but highly informative discussion with Jack on how ID checks are changing the way we do legal services. Including witnessing Wills and other legal documents by video call. We discuss how the same technology in ID checks can begin to start to improve the ID checks for exam invigilators or proctoring in public exams like GCSE and A levels and the candidates they serve.
Resulting in the exams officer being less stressed on the day as the ID checks have been done by mobile phone prior the exam date. This may allow more opportunities for exams to be sat with greater access arrangement opportunties as schools or exam centres can focus on better exam experiences rather than the risk of fraud.
In other exam worlds, there are a range of protoring services now using zoom and other video recording services. Allowing for invigilation to keep an eye on the candidate. This obviously still have the ID challenge which new services like Thirdfort can provide.
Most excitingly the mobile phone or a laptop computer are increasingly be able to Absorb the environment around which it is in. Opening up a range of possibilities. From checking there is no one close to the exam candidate, to delivering of the questions. Along with access arrangements.
We are beginning to see technology disrupt the exam experience.
Here is the full chat recorded using a mobile phone over Zoom. On a latop. I hope you enjoy.
