Victoria Moffat Exam podcast

A brief informal chat with Victoria Moffat for the exam podcast.

Victoria is an actuary and runs Warwickshire council pension fund. (see Linkedin Profile) Victoria and the exam podcast had a brief chat around financial training and qualifications. Although the conversation was less than 5 minutes there are some excellent points which warrant publishing. We hope to have Victoria back on the Exam podcast to complete the discussion. We believe that qualifications, training and exams in professional life like finance can be applied to secondary school training and exams. The opportunity to sit exam regularly and often, mostly through computer based exams gives us a clue as to the what secondary school exams should look like in the future.

The professional training in the UK can be used both as a protector of incumbents. Narrowing entrance to the market by new players on the one end while on the other giving consumers confidence that they have a level of understanding that warrants a stamp. The exam house hope that exams can be a form of candidate promotion and guidance with the exam result rather than a form of protectionism. Plenty of lessons for secondary school exams.

We hope you enjoy the brief podcast.
