Cambridge International runs GCSEs, A levels and other forms of assessment.
The answer is simple. There is NO difference to the abbreviation of CIE and CAIE for Cambridge International.
It is simply a slight change of name of Cambridge International.
CIE stands for the Cambridge International Examination.
While the new name
CAIE: Cambridge Assessment International Education or CAIE.
Reasoning being it represents the wider meaning of the curriculum.
Schools do sometimes use CIE. Because it takes time to filter down to the teaching coal face.
