GCSE English Literature AQA adjustment

Ofqual has approved the AQA English revised changes to GCSE English Literature for summer 2021. Following on from their previous announcement in this Exam blog. There is a free choice of any two of the following three areas:

• Anthology of poetry

• Modern text

• 19th century novel

Shakespeare and unseen poetry will still be compulsory. The two papers will now be structured as per this image.

These changes will make it simpler for you to make the right choices for your students. Entries by 21 February 2021 to allow AQA to get their examiners in place. there’s no need to choose a single option for everyone unless you want to.
