Most universities will be teaching in 2020

In spite of Cambridge University deciding that no real in class teaching will be done in the academic year of 2020 - 21. The vast majority of UK university will be continuing in person tuition and lectures. Most universities do not have the vast sums that Cambridge can afford.

Cambridge will know full well they can both afford to push some away and definitely do not need their funding that comes with the international students.

However, some universities have offered prospective post graduate students the option to begin their studies in Jan 2021 rather than the autumn of 2020. Essentially admitting how little time is spent teaching in the first term of the first year.

(Ed) Heaven forbid, that most university undergraduate courses cannot be condensed into 1 or 2 years with a series of exams at the end of the two years!

This is in light of the recent developments of visas post study. The home office has confirmed that international students can remain, post study ‘visa’ rights if they start in January 2021. Essentially helping them not miss out on a year. This comes after

Sector bodies UUKi, UKCISA and BUILA, which had outlined a series of measures required to “kickstart the recovery” of the education sector.
